Corrections

Corrections and editorial policy

A reference site is only as good as its willingness to be wrong in public. This page records substantive corrections; it is intentionally empty until there is something to record.

What counts as a correction

  • A fact that was wrong: a zone range, a frost date, a species that does not grow in the region, a standard cited incorrectly.
  • A source that changed or disappeared.
  • A palette entry that is invasive, misidentified or unsuitable.

What does not

Wording edits, new pages and formatting changes are not corrections and are not logged here.

Log

No corrections logged yet. The atlas was published on 1 November 2026. When a correction is made, the date, the page, what was wrong and what changed will appear here.

What an entry contains

An entry names the page, the date, the statement that was wrong, the correction and the source that resolved it. Entries stay in the log permanently; we do not delete an entry when a page is rewritten, because the history is the point.

Report one

There is no public inbox yet. Corrections can be filed through the channel that referred this site to you, with the page URL, the sentence and the source that contradicts it. A dedicated inbox will be published here when it exists; a correction without a source is a suggestion. If the source is paywalled, cite the DOI or the page title so we can locate it.

Review cycle

Regional pages are reviewed against their sources at least once a year, and immediately when a linked standard or climate reference changes.
